Developer Lariisland shared a design pivot for Atlas, a model status tracker: the plan was to label models as accessible, endangered, or deprecated, but historical deprecation patterns suggested the newest Gemini is arguably more endangered than Sonnet 3.
Instead, the tool now shows daily which models remain accessible through any public provider, focusing on real-world availability rather than lifecycle labels.
