Google rolls out 5 free AI courses, from 30-minute GenAI intros to hands-on diffusion labs

Google has launched five free AI courses on its Google Skills platform, with no sign-up fees or prerequisites, each granting a skill badge:
- Introduction to Generative AI (45 min): what GenAI is and how it differs from traditional ML.
- Introduction to LLMs (1 hr): LLM use cases and prompt tuning, part of the GEAR program.
- Encoder-Decoder Architecture (30 min, intermediate): includes a TensorFlow lab building a poetry generator from scratch.
- Prompt Design in Vertex AI (1 hr): prompt engineering, image analysis, and multimodal generation labs.
- Introduction to Image Generation (30 min): diffusion model theory, training, and deployment on Google Cloud.
Challenge Labs let confident learners skip straight to the assessment, with progress carrying over between courses.
