OpenAI's frontier transparency disclosure called 'first step' by Miles Brundage
Miles_Brundage · x · 2026-09-07
Responding to David Robinson, OpenAI's Miles Brundage called a frontier-lab transparency disclosure one of the highest-stakes projects he worked on. Robinson argued that disclosing specific risks, incidents, and safeguards is necessary but not sufficient — the public also needs to understand how the most capable systems are developing and driving research progress inside frontier labs. Today's disclosure is framed as a first step toward that understanding.
