HiSfM: scaffold-anchored hierarchical SfM tames repeated-structure ambiguity and cuts runtime

zhenjun_zhao · x · 2026-09-07

HiSfM is a coarse-to-fine Structure-from-Motion framework that partitions the view graph into local communities, builds a compact verified skeleton via edge-disjoint spanning trees and a two-view disambiguator, then anchors reconstruction on this scaffold. It avoids ambiguity-induced failures from repeated/symmetric structures, substantially reduces runtime, and outperforms aggressive sparsification in completeness. Code released.
