GitHub Launches HydraFusion: Multi-Model Orchestration Matches Opus 5 Quality at Lower Cost

GitHub introduced Project HydraFusion, a research preview multi-model orchestrator in Copilot CLI that picks between Single, Cascade, and Critique execution patterns using capability signals for reasoning, codegen, debugging, and tool use. In controlled offline evals its selective workflows matched or exceeded the Opus 5 baseline while cutting estimated workflow cost.
