Indie developer yihuiindie cancelled his $10/month Midjourney subscription — a product he kept renewing since 2023, even when barely using it, because it brought him more joy than Cursor in 2023–24. The tipping point: the new GPT image generation is visibly much improved, 'finally feeling like Midjourney.'
