OpenCode launches Zen pay-as-you-go and Go subscription: $10/mo gets ~$60 of models
leebase65 · reddit · 2026-09-07
OpenCode, the open-source coding harness, now offers two ways to access LLMs:
- Zen (pay-as-you-go): a curated alternative to OpenRouter — models and hosts guaranteed optimized for OpenCode, including free tiers; pay-as-you-go models like DeepSeek V4 Flash and GLM 5.3 Flash are nearly free.
- Go (subscription): $10/mo ($5 first month) for roughly 6x value — pay $10, use up to $60.
The author's workflow: GPT 6 Astra low or GPT 5.6 Sol low for planning and code review, cheap flash models as workhorse coders. Zen and Go work even without OpenCode as your harness.
