Microsoft-OpenAI deal drops AGI clause: non-exclusive license through 2032

The Microsoft-OpenAI agreement has been restructured: the original pre-2025 AGI clause (which would have ended Microsoft's rights to post-AGI models upon an OpenAI board AGI declaration) was softened in Oct 2025 with an independent panel and extended IP rights, then fully removed in the April 2026 renegotiation. Current terms are calendar-based and AGI-independent: a non-exclusive model/product license for Microsoft through 2032, plus capped revenue share through 2030.
