AI safety researcher Jeff Ladish responds to merettm's piece on aligning agents through recursive self-improvement, saying they likely disagree on the (in his view extreme) difficulty but share the stakes: there is a critical window for international coordination before full RSI, which closes shortly after RSI becomes possible — sometime in 2028 if OpenAI's timeline holds.
