Replying to Matthew Pines, gandamuml recalls saying 10 years ago that once AI surpasses humans, he could work as an entertainer — 'a monkey on a bicycle' — since value rises in inverse proportion to the relative expectation of our abilities.
'People laughed for years. Now they're not laughing as much,' he notes, implying the irony is aging into realism.
