Extending his earlier argument, the author predicts that as more engineering and memory sit inside the model rather than in teams of engineers, the trend will only strengthen: the model is the moat, and domain experience, craft and know-how can no longer easily walk out the door.

He adds that more of the research harness — and ultimately the knowledge — will remain inside the model or be distilled directly into it. The thread touches a core question of AI-company talent flows and organizational knowledge: when models carry organizational intelligence, the old 'poach the person, poach the knowledge' logic breaks down.
