Physicist Sabine Hossenfelder (@skdh) publicly claims she was offered money to produce content frightening the public about AI, adding "I'm not the only one."
Retweeter Brian Roemmele says the anti-AI, anti-robot and anti-data-center movements are heavily funded by mostly non-US interests, and that he too was asked to become "strongly against AGI/ASI" — which he declined, criticizing what he calls theatrical fear campaigns. The funding claims are unverified allegations.
