Zuckerberg tells G20 ministers AI safety shouldn't center on a few frontier labs

At the G20 innovation ministerial, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg beamed in to tell the ministers who write AI rules that a safe AI future needs checks and balances rather than an ecosystem centered on a few frontier labs.

Commenter @victorexplore points out the irony: safety is usually the argument for locking models inside a few labs, yet Zuckerberg wielded it against regulators the other way — while keeping Meta's own option open of deciding model by model which ones to release as open source.
