NC AI and LG Win Korean State Project for On-Device Chip-Powered Humanoid Robots

NC AI and LG Electronics have won the humanoid segment of South Korea's K-On-Device AI Semiconductor Technology Development Project, run by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KEIT. The consortium will build autonomous humanoid robots with domestically made on-device AI chips for human-level tasks in complex everyday spaces. NC AI will solely handle GMT training data construction and a human-to-robot retargeting pipeline that accounts for joint limits, body proportions, foot support and balance—converting human work movements into humanoid-optimized training data using its motion data assets and animation pipeline.
