Dev with four $200/mo Claude accounts open-sources claude-transplant to move session history between accounts

Reddit user vitaliyh, who pays for four $200/mo Claude subscriptions, found that switching accounts in Claude Desktop empties the Claude Code sidebar history — old sessions stay on disk but are hidden.

He built claude-transplant, a tool that moves Desktop session records to the account you're switching to, runnable from the terminal or a macOS menubar app. It writes the same record under the target organization with the same session id, verifies transcripts, sidecars and records are unchanged, then parks the source record in quarantine. Nothing is copied; undo restores everything.

Open source at github.com/vitaliyhayda/claude-transplant. macOS only, requires Node 22, unofficial and unaffiliated with Anthropic.
