Cortex AI memory hits ChatGPT connector directory, cuts token cost by up to 95%

Developer SynchroniaMundi reports that Cortex, a semantic memory layer for AI assistants, is now live in the official ChatGPT connector directory, with about a hundred users trying it in its first few days, many coming from the Reddit community.
- How it works: what you save today is retrievable tomorrow in another chat or even another AI — it runs over MCP, so Claude and other clients share the same memory; you just say "save this to Cortex".
- Cost focus: instead of replaying whole conversations, it recalls only the relevant memories — about 1,400 tokens per query vs 26,000 on the LoCoMo benchmark, up to 95% less.
- Pricing: plans will start under one euro per month; free trial available now, with setup docs for Claude and other MCP clients published.
