The NSF has launched a new $30M, 5-year Center for Human and Robot Co-Adaptation under its STC program, one of three new centers announced. Led by UT Austin with partners Indiana University Bloomington, MIT, Tufts, Utah, and Yale, and directed by Joydeep Biswas, the center will develop the science of human-robot co-adaptation — how humans and robots mutually learn and adjust for long-term collaboration. Researchers including Daniel S. Brown are joining the effort.
