Doomslide argues that once models can operationalize the mathematical literature, the traditional way of doing math research plausibly goes extinct within a few generations. The mechanism: semantic search over models from 4-5 generations ago already tempts graduate students into feedback loops with the entire math corpus, making it fundamentally less likely to discover new mathematics by attacking specific problems.
