Investor Turner Novak tallies over 1 million new US jobs attributed to AI since 2023: 310k blue collar (85k electrical contractors, 85k commercial construction, 75k HVAC & plumbing, 45k utility construction, 20k electrical-equipment manufacturing) and 700k white collar (200k software developers, 200k math/data science, 100k infosec analysts, 80k engineers, 120k other computer occupations). Against that, 200k jobs lost, mostly repetitive work like data entry and customer service. Beff Jezos argues AI is nuking bullshit jobs while rewarding those who build real, complex things.
