Researcher: writing a book beats research post-AGI — 'nothing left to invent'

An AI researcher explains why writing a book excites him more than research: for him, research was about uncovering the principles behind new algorithmic capabilities, and after AGI "there is nothing left to do" — though plenty of things to use AGI for. Pushed further, he says books can at least help people understand why LLMs work, and that having found these ideas compelling for a decade, he owes it to any like-minded reader to try.
