Dev spends a day with GPT-6 Astra: smarter at refactoring, no reason to switch models for coding

After roughly a day with OpenAI's new Astra model, developer ivanbezdomny calls it the smartest practical coding model he's used: more thoughtful and less annoying than prior OpenAI or Anthropic models when refactoring, and persistent enough not to give up mid-task. He sees little reason to use another model for coding beyond cost and domain tuning, but notes OpenAI still lacks a strong design/UI model.
