Lambda raises nearly $1B in debt to buy Nvidia GPUs that Microsoft will lease

Per Bloomberg, AI cloud startup Lambda raised almost $1 billion in debt to purchase Nvidia GPUs that Microsoft will lease. Lambda reportedly expects to quickly deploy the chips and start generating revenue to help repay the debt — a debt-funded, hyperscaler-leased model for AI compute economics.
