B200 recoups full hardware cost in ~10 months at 94% rental utilization, per forward-curve pricing
AccBalanced · x · 2026-09-06
GPU rental data provider Ornn Exchange says a B200 earns back its full hardware cost in roughly 10 months of rentals at about 94% utilization. The figure is computed along the forward curve rather than today's spot price, so it already embeds the depreciation the forward market prices in — the number a neocloud is actually underwriting.
Latest Ornn Compute Price Index settlements ($/GPU-hour): H100 SXM $2.89, H200 $4.63, B200 $6.40, A100 SXM4 $1.06, RTX 5090 $0.63. OCPI is a volume-weighted, winsorized average of transacted rental prices, settled daily and listed on Bloomberg; latest values and three months of history are free for the five tracked GPUs.
