Astra isn't live in Codex UI yet, but `codex -m gpt-6-astra` unlocks it today

A Reddit user found that while Astra appears in Work but not the Codex UI, you can launch it directly with codex -m gpt-6-astra. The thinking level carries over from your previous model, so to change it you must switch models, pick the desired level, /exit, and relaunch. Behavior is inconsistent across machines on the same account.
