HIM Arena opens robot sports challenges: 15 community sims on MuJoCo and Unitree G1

HIM Robotics launched HIM Arena, a community platform offering grants and real robots to broaden participation in robotics through sports challenges. It already hosts 15 shared sims from 8 builders across two benchmarks: a MuJoCo-based "Best Sports Sim" (Microduck kicking/goalie policies) and a Table Tennis Benchmark on Unitree G1, including a residual-on-scripted-IK hitter. Entries span soccer kicks, G1 table-tennis rallies, and standing long jumps—a sim-to-real competition model that lowers the entry bar for robot RL policies.
