Claude built 95% of a Three.js cathedral, Astra fixed the rest in 1 hour
Silver-Chipmunk7744 · reddit · 2026-09-05
- The author used Fable 5.1 as orchestrator with Claude Opus as the coding agent to build a gothic cathedral entirely in Three.js with zero external assets; Claude did about 95% of the work.
- Late in the run Claude started failing: parts of the scene stopped rendering (turned transparent), too many lights, over-bright and poorly optimized. Switching to Astra fixed everything within an hour — though the author isn't sure Astra could match the build from scratch.
- Cost: roughly 40% of a weekly Claude Max x20 budget plus Astra's fix.
