AI researcher: the fastest way to ship software may be to stop coding and wait

Kangwook Lee, professor at UW-Madison, argues that given the current pace of AI progress, the fastest way to finish a software project might be to stop coding and wait for models that can one-shot the whole thing — sometimes doing nothing is the optimal plan. His advice: spend more time with family and friends, and get healthier.
