Codex adds in-thread voice: talk through PRs and architecture, then let the agent keep working

OpenAI announced voice is now available inside existing Codex threads: you can jump into spoken back-and-forth with the same agent that wrote your code — debating a PR, architecture trade-offs, or product decisions — then let it continue working once you've aligned. Engineer mattlam says it removes his biggest pain point for planning and understanding workflows.
