Per Nikkei Asia, Japan's Kioxia unveiled a plan to capture AI-driven demand with a new high-speed NAND memory chip, aiming to upgrade NAND so it can replace DRAM in some roles. If realized, the approach could reshape memory hierarchies in AI systems and ease DRAM supply pressure.
