A new Gallup survey finds only 33% of US adults (27% in Canada) trust AI chatbots for financial guidance, versus 71% (75%) for human advisors. The only source AI beats is social media finance influencers at 29%. Rich Turrin argues banks should position AI as a credible middle tier between influencers and advisors — an assistant or influencer upgrade, not an advisor replacement.
