Sentdex: GPT 5.6 solves quadruped robot tasks but takes 4-20+ minutes
Sentdex · x · 2026-09-04
Sentdex shared his experience using GPT 5.6 sol to control a quadruped robot: while the model can solve the task, time-to-solution balloons from 20 seconds to typically 4-5 minutes, sometimes 20+.
He notes the model has a real problem with non-stop adjustment and overshooting. He also recommends Luwu Dynamics' sub-$1K quadruped as the best yet in five years of demoing their robots, with a full video coming.
