jfiance · x · 2026-09-03
Josh Bloom — Berkeley professor of astronomy, BAIR faculty, and founding co-PI of the Berkeley Institute for Data Science — is building Valency, backed by The House Fund. Bloom has published hundreds of papers and previously co-founded a machine learning company acquired by GE. Valency targets the problem that scientific knowledge is growing faster than any individual researcher can keep up with.
