Google has released Gemini 3.8 Flash, its third Flash release in six weeks, per a post on X.
Improvements over 3.7 Flash include software engineering tasks, agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning. On DeepSWE v1.1 it reportedly beats most larger frontier models at solving complex engineering problems end-to-end, at a fraction of the cost. Worth testing if you run agents or build with LLMs.
Note: third-party claim, not yet confirmed by an official Google announcement.
