DataFast caps free bot-traffic tracking at 100K requests, extra 1M costs $9/mo

DataFast founder Marc Lou announced that the bot-traffic feature (showing requests from AI assistants, search engines and crawlers) will get a fresh allowance of 100,000 accepted requests per billing cycle starting September 15, 2026. Extra capacity costs $9/month per 1M requests.
- The free feature is now used by 1K websites; rate limiting and database costs made it unsustainable
- 90% of users won't be affected; users can exclude crawlers they don't want tracked (Meta scrapes aggressively on some sites)
- Hitting the cap doesn't affect regular web analytics, only new bot-traffic recording
