Oxford-led UK open-source AI research program BOLD launches with 350 researchers

The British Open-ended Learning and Discovery (BOLD) lab, founded by Jakob Foerster, launched at Oxford with a festival drawing 350 researchers, industry partners, VCs and policymakers.
Backed by UKRI, BOLD unites Oxford, UCL and Imperial College London with partners including NVIDIA, AMD, Iconic, Nscale and Era4 to rethink both the scientific questions of AI research and how research is organized in academia, and is now recruiting partners and fellows to strengthen the UK and European open-source AI ecosystem.
