Bata India drops all agency retainers, runs 100% of creatives on autonomous AI agents
sanjaykalra · x · 2026-09-03
Century-old shoemaker Bata India has rebuilt its marketing operation around autonomous AI agents with Zocket: briefs, creative generation, review, publishing, customer interaction and learning now run without any creative or social agency.
- 80% cost drop, no more multi-million rupee retainers or production shoots
- Celebrities licensed their digital AI rights; full campaigns generated without on-set shooting
- Marketers shifted from writing briefs for humans to tweaking prompts, lighting and camera angles for bots
Reported by afaqs, it's framed as a brand making AI the process itself, not just a tool inside it.
