At SEMICON 2026, Synopsys (EDA) and Ansys (multi-physics simulation) demonstrated autonomous agents performing end-to-end chip design with full multi-physics simulations.
They also showed a Visual Studio-based 'vibe coding' environment for chip design driven by prompting alone.
