Developer CarolusX74 released SentinelX, a mini open-source MCP agent that lets LLMs operate your Linux/macOS server directly — no SSH, no copy-pasting logs.
Key design:
- Opposite of handing LLMs an SSH shell: a YAML whitelist on the agent side controls which directories and commands the LLM can use
- The agent runs on your server and connects to a private hub with Google/GitHub login
- 3-minute enrollment; the LLM can query host specs, list running Docker containers, and more
- Install via curl -fsSL https://get.sentinelx.app | bash; Windows docs on the site
- One free host, paid plans beyond; listed in the OpenAI directory, under review for Anthropic's
