JamesDSP breaks stereo on T2 MacBook 6-channel speakers — fixed with Copilot CLI's help
DanWahlin · x · 2026-09-03
DanWahlin installs JamesDSP on Omarchy for MacBook speaker boost (prebuilt PipeWire package via omarchy pkg aur add jamesdsp-pipewire-bin; don't install both AUR variants). Pitfall: JamesDSP is stereo-only while the MacBook is 6-channel, sending the right channel to a left driver. Copilot CLI helped work out the correct channel mapping to restore proper stereo — details in his gist.
