Beyond the muzzle-or-cage binary: verifiable, revocable power as the real AI governance model

A debate on AI ethics and authority argues the "muzzle it or cage it" framing is a false binary. Ethics defines what ought to happen; authority determines what an intelligence is actually permitted to do. Once AI acts through software, money, machines and millions of robots, "raising it well" is not a security model. The real breakthrough is making power bounded, attributable, revocable and verifiable — for humans and machines alike. Freedom without accountability isn't sovereignty, it's unbounded power.
