Devnexus, the largest and longest-running Java ecosystem conference in the US (founded 2004 by the Atlanta JUG, 1,500+ attendees), is overhauling its 2027 program around AI.
- Rather than treating AI as a standalone topic, it will be woven across the entire agenda: 10 newly defined tracks and 100+ sessions
- Organizers argue developers now need to understand how AI reshapes app design, coding, testing, code review, infrastructure and architecture decisions — and how to embed AI into the products they build
- The 2026 edition already featured sessions on AI coding platforms, multi-agent systems, MCP, enterprise AI frameworks and production apps with Spring AI
- Java remains at the core; the reframe is about developers' evolving responsibilities in the AI era
