Naveen Rao revisited his old idea of an LLM that compiles Python, C++, and Java into optimized native assembly for x86, ARM, and RISC-V, noting that "Compiler 2.0" now essentially does this. The remaining gap, he argues, is adding guarantees on time and memory bounds so the approach can scale to larger programs — still a vision-level claim without concrete benchmarks.
