A Databricks engineer's day-1 impressions of Fable 5.1: it talks more like a normal human with less "Claudish" tone, but web search still lags GPT-5.6 Sol, often missing key queries. Frontend work remains much better than GPT models. He says his daily driver is now Kimi K3, which Databricks dogfoods heavily — "you'd be surprised how good it is."
