Founder Paras Chopra argues AI poses an unprecedented risk to human cognition. Moving from assembly to C to Python was a unidimensional abstraction—humans still had to think through countless other things. AI is different: it abstracts away nearly all relevant points of friction.
Using web design as an example, he notes that pre-AI, tweaking layouts in an editor forced you to intuit margins, spacing, and colors, building mental models of the domain. By removing that friction, AI risks eroding our capacity to think altogether.
