Rewriting the Web runtime in Rust: Significant performance gains, open source coming soon

After 3 years of work, the author proves that the Web Platform is fast and heavy runtime abstractions made it look slow. By focusing on architecture rather than just optimization passes, significant performance gains were achieved. The project uses Rust underneath with HTML/CSS/JS on top. Performance benchmarks are shown (orange represents the author's solution), and it will be open source soon.
