GitHub CLI adds --attach flag for media uploads in issues and PRs
mariorod1 · x · 2026-09-02
GitHub CLI released an update introducing a repeatable --attach flag, enabling users to upload local images or videos directly from the command line and reference them inline within issues, pull requests, or comments. This feature streamlines the workflow for reporting bugs or submitting PRs with visual proof (like UI bugs or error screens) without switching to a browser. It is now generally available across all plans and supports formats including PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG, MP4, MOV, and WebM.
