Anthropic unveils Enterprise Frontier Safeguards: customer-side data with automated misuse detection

Anthropic announces Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS), combining zero data retention (ZDR) privacy with state-of-the-art misuse detection:
- Data sovereignty: data lives in customer-controlled cloud infrastructure with the customer's own encryption keys
- Automated monitoring: detects misuse (e.g., cyber, bio), with automated flags routed to the customer's team
- Context: Mythos-class models like Claude Fable 5.1 bring major capability gains but also misuse and autonomous misbehavior risks; recent months saw sophisticated attacks including enterprise credential theft
EFS was built with 100+ customers across finance, healthcare, manufacturing, telecom, law, retail and public sector, plus AWS, Google Cloud and Azure. Rolling out in phases starting this fall; eligible customers get ZDR on Fable 5 / 5.1 in the interim. Supported on Claude Code, Claude Enterprise, Bedrock, Google Agent Platform, Microsoft Foundry and more.
