Benchmark Scores Don't Matter; Open Local Models Are the Future

The best AI is not the one with the highest benchmark score, but the one that is fast, cheap, and good enough. Frontier closed models are expensive, and most people will default to capable open models that are 'good enough' in a different price universe. Real gains will come from hardware improvements (memory and bandwidth), making capable AI a locally owned tool rather than a subscription.
