Cashfree launches Relay AI to automate payments and disputes

Cashfree Payments has launched Relay, an AI platform designed to automate payment operations for SMB merchants. Unlike traditional tools that merely flag issues, Relay reads transaction records and takes direct action, such as retrying failed payments, recovering abandoned carts, managing subscriptions, and filing disputes. Users can describe desired outcomes via prompts or voice, and the system builds or deploys agents to execute tasks. Cashfree estimates the tool can reduce average weekly payment operation time from 60 hours to under 45 minutes.
