Obsidian-skills launches, turning your note vault into an AI agent playground

Obsidian creator Kepano released obsidian-skills, an open-source project transforming note vaults into an AI agent playground. Built on the Agent Skills spec, it enables Claude Code, Codex CLI, and OpenCode to read, write, and reason inside vaults like a power user.

- obsidian-markdown: Full support for Obsidian Flavored Markdown.
- obsidian-bases: Create .base files with views, filters, and formulas.
- -canvas: Build .canvas files with nodes and edges.
- obsidian-cli: Control vaults and develop plugins via terminal.
- defuddle: Strip web pages into clean markdown to save tokens.
The project has gained tens of thousands of stars and is MIT licensed.
